What is the action "Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises"?
The project is an action to support small and medium enterprises for the purchase/use of digital products and services and their general support for their digital transformation. Investments will be aimed at technologies and services that promote the digitization of small and medium enterprises. More specifically, it concerns the following activities:
- Electronic payments
- E-Sales
- E-Invoicing Applications
- Electronic Sales
- Electronic Invoicing Applications
- Digital Advertising Tools
- Commuting Systems
- Business Analytics</li >
- Upgrading digital skills
- Providing integrated solutions for seamless service
- Cybersecurity systems, cloud computing infrastructure and services, industrial data platform models and software
- Upgrading cash registers
- Upgrading the POS ecosystem.
Beneficiaries
The action is implemented within the framework of the National Plan of Recovery and Resilience “Greece 2.0” with the financing of the European Union. The total budget of the project amounts to four hundred and forty-two million, four hundred and forty thousand euros (€442,440,000).
Within the framework of the Program, existing private enterprises that carry out economic activity, and for which they contribute cumulatively and among others the following conditions:-
- They have their headquarters or a branch in the Greek Territory with a Greek VAT number.
- They are active on the date of submission of the funding application from the program.
- They have been founded/incorporated before 01.01.2022.
- Constitute a legal entity (Public Limited Company, Limited Liability Company, Limited Partnership or Limited Partnership, I.K.E., Sole Proprietorship, Social Cooperative Enterprise, Cooperative) or Sole Proprietorship and keep simple or double-copy books.
Subsidy amounts
Within the program, it is possible to use vouchers, based on the size of the business – in terms of employment – and in particular by Business Category. Specifically:
Please note that the amount of the aid/redemption amount cannot exceed:- the face value of the voucher, as reflected in column (B) and,
- 90% of the actual cost of the supplied digital products and services.

Programms
Through Programme I: “MME Digital Tools”, participating businesses can be supported to:
- modernize their productive, commercial and administrative function, to upgrade the way of communication and cooperation and to introduce new forms of hybrid work (hybrid workplace)
- to digitize electronic transactions with customers and partners, including e-commerce, and to increase the level of security and trust in electronic transactions,through the utilization of new digital products and services.
The Program II: “Development of Digital Products and Services”, supports investment plans for the development of new products and services that fall within the IT and communications sector. It aims to strengthen healthy entrepreneurship with the appropriate utilization of ICT, to strengthen the IT sector (in terms of competitiveness and extroversion) and to create new value-added digital products and services with a strong commercial perspective and viability.For this purpose, Program II: “Development of Digital Products and Services” will provide support, in the form of grants, for the implementation of investment plans that cover the entire development cycle of new digital products and services and include:
- Preparatory activities (indicative: market research, feasibility study, actions to acquire new knowledge and skills for new product development),
- Development activities of new digital products/services,
- Supplementary activities of commercial exploitation of new products and services.
The purpose of Program III: “Digital Transactions” is the adoption of modern digital tools that support invoicing processes , issuing, processing tax documents and making electronic payments.
